    Problematic Statements (GOA/EP)

Sympathy is an emotion. Nobody and nothing can force your emotions. Perhaps, but completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. Unsubstantiated. No, it doesn't follow (necessarily). They have requested convocation of the council from all the other churches, so far no response. CP wish it...

    Problematic Statements (GOA/EP)

The said canon (17th canon of 4th council) refers to "the synod of the province", see: https://sites.google.com/site/canonsoc/home/canons-of-the-ecumenical-councils/council-of-chalcedon-451-1 Indeed! Analogy and narrow take of exceptions are the basic tools in interpretation and application...

The current EP/MP schism and relations with Rome

Yes we are, filioque is anathemized but the First, Second and Third council, as well as the second canon of the Sixth council (all ecumenical). Roman Catholics recognize those councils as ecumenical. You are under anathema proclaimed by these canons. We only haven't anathemized Roman Catholics...

Orthodox Times 10/24/21 Ecumenical Patriarch: We christianized the Russians, not to mention we civilized them

Yes, but he was the Secretary of Phanar at that time. His position at that time bears quite the significance of "primus sine paribus" proclamation.

Orthodox Times 10/24/21 Ecumenical Patriarch: We christianized the Russians, not to mention we civilized them

There is plenty to respond to your post, but right now I have time only for this: The main problem is not "the Greekness", but "the Phanariotism". For me, "the Greekness" is when you arrive after a long night-bus-drive, sit at the beach-bar to wait there for your luggage, and the waitress...

Orthodox Times 10/24/21 Ecumenical Patriarch: We christianized the Russians, not to mention we civilized them

I am happily not in communion with him. He isn't authorized to speak neither for me, nor for more than hundred million orthodox faithful. Needless to say, he was never my "spiritual father".

How do "the Phanariotes" feel without us?

Forgive me, I am a sinner. I should have added that it relates to this specific topic only, but it was rude and uncalled anyway. Again, I'm sorry.

What's going on with the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Russian Patriarch Kirill?

Exactly. IMHO, "primus sine paribus" theology should be anathemized, as well as a relational ontology of Metr. Zlizloulas, but the latter should be carefully studied beforehand to embrace everything wrong in it. I am not sure if anyone has already done that.

How do "the Phanariotes" feel without us?

Everybody is entitled to a pool, though not everybody chooses to announce a live stream of poolside with a margarita. What is the importance of you heading the poolside with a margarita for this thread? You failed to vote in the poll, take care not to fall into the pool.

How do "the Phanariotes" feel without us?

I am curious about the reasoning for belonging to two different autocephalous churches? What is the ecclessiology behind it? Did you study that subject at those two different seminaries? I don't think it's a business of yours.

How do "the Phanariotes" feel without us?

As an American of Ukrainian origin your opinion is completely irrelevant for me. Besides, I am not Serbia. Serbia speaks for herself, I speak for myself.

How do "the Phanariotes" feel without us?

I am not sure if I know Orthodox ecclessiology well according to your standards, but I know I am not in communion with Patriarch of Constantinopolis Bartholomew. That's what my church says and I happily oblige. 😇 Do you know well Orthodox ecclessiology? 🧐

I meant poll, not pool. 😊

Start your own thread about it. You may include the pool, just like I did here.
