Fact: Atkins ate carbs.
Fact: Atkins died.
Fact: Carbs kill you.

Fact:  Atkins smiled.
Fact:  Atkins died.
Fact:  Smiling kills you.
;D

Living is hazardous to your health.  What's important is how good and fit you look in your coffin.
;D

Liza, do you like crinkle cut or regular chips?  I prefer crinkles, or Frito's Scoops. 8) 8)

He slipped on the ice and broke his head open and died.

The Atkins Diet is not no carbs diet ( there is no such thing)
It encourages eating lots of vegetables and some fruit low on the Glicemitc index ( low sugar).

BTW..Correlation does not prove casuation  :)

What? Low carbs cause increased instability on ice?!?!?!  I don't think that was listed as a disclaimer on the Adkins diet book...

But the Eskimos learned to eat from him.

Something seems wrong here.

It all makes sense now.  It causes the ice itself to be unstable!  Low carbs are responsible for icecaps breaking apart and global warming which is destroying the Eskimos way of life.  I had no idea Dr. Adkins was so nefarious.

...and for my 8,000th post I bring you an odd photo I took a few weeks back.

What do you think it might be?

....and....

I couldn't resist to share a photo of an Orthodox Wedding from the late 1950's.

My mom is the maid of honor, holding the crown over the bride.

LOL!  I will slow down.  Sorry.  No pressure.

It's not a disco ball...but, close.  Roller Rink.  It was mesmerizing.

Earlier on this thread I officially retired from actively commemorating posting milestones.

Since that time, a year and a half ago, I've made about 10,000 posts.

Which is shocking. Have I really averaged about 18 posters per day over the last year and a half?

Anyway, I meant to come out of retirement to commemorate my 24,000th post, but I forgot to do so and ended up zooming right past it.

Maybe I'll remember at 25k and post some pics then.

I should get there by November.

There's no retirement plan, is there?  Or a benevolent association I wasn't aware of?

I would be more than happy to fund *'s weekly diet of Sunkist and Banquet TV dinners.

We could all pool the money together to get him a year's worth of supplies.
