In today's The Times of London the Archbishop of Canterbury refers to the actions of ISIS as the biggest threat to Christians since the Holocaust and the reign of (the) Genghis Khan. Plus reference is made to a letter of sympathy sent by The Prince of Wales to the Chaldean Catholic primate.
Not quite sure of the linking of the dreadful and unprecedented persecution of Christians and other historic minorities and the Holocaust but nevertheless welcome his speaking out. Shame it gets tucked away in the Faith section of ToL.
Indeed the dreadful slaughter, including inhumane beheadings, by a very sophisticated parallel state across swathes of Syria and Iraq is truly alarming.
May God have mercy on the victims and captive populations.
