Any bronies here?

Fatwa time!NicholasMyra said:This is not the teaching of Islam.
Pretty much the same here, except it happened to me about 2 months ago. Me and my fiancee decided to watch a few episodes after we laughed at the memes. I was shocked how much we loved it. I actually went to a brony get-together a few weeks ago.age234 said:![]()
Only since a week ago.
I saw a bunch of ponies on Know Your Meme, I looked up some episodes on Youtube, and it was all over. True story. It happens. (language)

I laughed so hard reading this and akimori's response.NicholasMyra said:This is not the teaching of Islam.
They're all growing on me, but so far Rainbow Dash. Who's yours?celticfan1888 said:Pretty much the same here, except it happened to me about 2 months ago. You Finns are so strange.Alpo said:
I have a preference to Applejack, since I am currently residing in the southern US and the people here are very much like her. But Rainbow Dash's personality is like mine, so I also like her. But I also like them all, it is hard to choose, each one has something extremely likeable about them.age234 said:They're all growing on me, but so far Rainbow Dash. Who's yours?
I think—especially for a kid's cartoon—all the characters are actually complex and that's why the show is so interesting to adults. They wanted to make a show that was interesting enough for parents to watch with their kids, and did such a good job that now adults are fans in their own right. That has to be cool for the creators of the show to see.
That's hilarious lolNicholasMyra said:
I was watching some old episodes of Animaniacs recently, and the cultural references in cartoons are fun, even when they become dated. Heck, even Sesame Street is full of them. Just the fact they put them in there as a hat-tip to adults is cool. I'm not into season 2 yet, but I did skip ahead and watch the Derpy episode. I LOL'd. I'm happy I'll get to see season 3 develop live.celticfan1888 said:I know Lauren Faust, while not expecting it to be so big amoung young men my age, has embraced it. She has so many cultural references in the show, and especially season 2, always has something for the bronies. It's kind of cool because she actually goes online and talks with the bronies and defends them if any jerk says something about them.
Yes, I have come across some of these elements. My love and tolerance only goes so far...celticfan1888 said:You have those weird bronies that um, preform unspeakable acts, but I stay clear of them. Most of us are, relatively, sane.
Trust me you have yet to do anything gayer than what these "guys" are going on about. Oh, I could write a book about this stuff.Tallitot said:Rainbows... my favorite symbolage234 said:![]()

"Episode"? The preferred term is "visuette".orthonorm said:Trust me you have yet to do anything gayer than what these "guys" are going on about. Oh, I could write a book about this stuff.
And I have yet to watch a single "episode".
All right, stop. That's enough. This has already gone too far.NicholasMyra said:"Episode"? The preferred term is "visuette".orthonorm said:Trust me you have yet to do anything gayer than what these "guys" are going on about. Oh, I could write a book about this stuff.

Your analogy baffles me.age234 said:I knew a furry in college. Furries are to bronies as porno anime is to Inspector Gadget. Not at all the same.

Same thing with Freakazoid, my word did that cartoon have so many cultural references in it.age234 said:I was watching some old episodes of Animaniacs recently, and the cultural references in cartoons are fun, even when they become dated. Kudos to Lauren Faust for embracing fans, and also to Hasbro for not being copyright Nazis and embracing the Internet. They're smart to realize that young adults with disposable income are most likely to spend money on merchandise, and most young adult fans discover the show online. (It's too bad more members of the entertainment industry don't realize this.)
Coming from the guy who dresses like a, well I'll just say "happy person", on the pictures you posted here. Gayer than a $2 bill.orthonorm said:Trust me you have yet to do anything gayer than what these "guys" are going on about. Oh, I could write a book about this stuff.

No, it hasn't gone far enough, you all aren't bronies and pegasisters yet.biro said:All right, stop. That's enough. This has already gone too far.NicholasMyra said:"Episode"?
