LOL.

No.  For some reason I have yet to learn, there’s a tradition of draping a towel behind chairs in which bishops sit (excluding episcopal thrones).

Hm, folkloric towels  play an important role in Slavic and Romanian Orthodoxy, placed for icons, under the feet of the bride and the groom, for the washing of hands of the bishop, the welcoming bread and salt are put on it etc. Is there a possiblity there is the same/similar genesis?

Anyway, the modern Indian version  with the text 'Catholicos' (if anybody had a doubt!) made me laugh.
