Connection not secure?

I just update Google Chrome and it's warning me that my connection to this website is not secure. It did not do that before. Is security up do date on this forum?

The warning says that:

The identity of this website isn't verified.

The connection to this website is not encrypted.

I'm using my Android tablet with Chrome 96.

I've gotten the same warnings, too, ever since I came back this year (Firefox user; Chrome's 666 logo weirds me out). I'm unable to connect via HTTPS at all, meaning all login credentials, PMs, etc are going unencrypted across the world's routers (not that I reuse passwords, so the security risk to me individually is negligible, but still...). Not sure if the site is missing a cert entirely (they can be had from Let's Encrypt for free), or if the server is only configured for obsolete protocols (SSL or older TLS versions).

It has been "not secure" for a while, even before the latest Forum software update. This is nothing new. Maybe our tech-support can figure it out.

I think new browser updates just make it more noticeable.

There are many other browsers beside Google Chrome (which I refuse to use).

Try Vivaldi or White Star....Safari if you absolutely must.

The Brave Browser is also excellent, and is nice and secure (although I, too, am missing the https). Also, for more techie people...you can slowly earn BAT, which is a cryptocurrency, just from using and browsing the web. It's based on Chromium, but has all the Google stripped out of it.

Eventually I will get around to putting us on https

Until then, just don't use the same password on OCnet that you use for your banking account, etc.
