I live in South Florida as you can see on my profile. My family and I got prepared since we thought that Hurricane Matthew was going to hit us with Strong Category 4 winds. We thought we were going to face the worst since Hurricane Wilma. But thankfully, my area didn't get hit as hard as we expected. While Matthew passed our area, we got winds no stronger than like 30 mph and we didn't lose power.
When Wilma hit our area I was 10 at that time, we lost power for like 5 days, I remember seeing the street lamp by my home rock back and forth and constantly hearing hard howling winds as Wilma passed out area. After Wilma left, our backyard fence was torn down, the shed was destroyed, it was a mess.
