Not worrying about criticism does not automagically make one 'on the side of Orthodoxy'.
did I say that? Absolutely not. However...as Mina said above, knowing that your audience might well take your speech as carte blanche to go out and quite literally beat the stuffing out of homosexuals...is also not 'defending Orthodoxy' nor loving our neighbors and leading them to Christ.
I merely said not being concerned about criticism is not a required characteristic for being on the side of Orthodoxy, and that lack of concern does not make one automatically 'right'
