Easter greeting 2013
Beloved hierarchs, fathers, brothers and sisters in Christ!
Christ is Risen!
Today and in the coming weeks we will be proclaiming over and over again “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing light!”
During the Easter season the Church invites us to follow in the footsteps of the disciples who set out to proclaim the risen Christ. It was not an easy path for them to pursue, for it was strewn with unbelief, dangers and setbacks. Few were prepared at the outset to accept the Gospel claim that the fullness of time had been reached and the Kingdom of God was at hand (Mark 1:15).
