It's a Bible joke.Michał Kalina said:???NicholasMyra said:Son wants pet scorpion for Christmas

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! Not funny, just sad.88Devin12 said:Dislikes popular Orthodox blog, calls blogger's spiritual father accusing him of demonic influence.
Sure. But my self-depricating humor won't be self-depricating for long. I don't feel right making fun at myself with a group I am no longer part of.OrthoNoob said:Raphael in Communion with Rome?choy said:Maybe we should have a confused Eastern Catholic exploring Orthodoxy meme![]()

^ a little extreme, but its really upsetting (and others I know, including cradles feel this way) when people extinguish our candles before they are even half-burned because its either "too crowded" or it could "cause a fire". Thousand of Orthodox Churches burn these candles in candlestands or sand pits every Sunday and there isn't ever a fire. I've even seen them do it in sand pits which are surrounded with metal.
