According to today's Jerusalem Post senior sources have told The Irish Independent on Sunday that the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) were in instrumental in rescueing Irish Army peacekeeping troops on the Golan Heights. Meantime 44 Fijian peacekeepers remain captivity and are threatened with a Sharia trial unless their captors organisation is removed from a UN terrorist list.

Everything the jihadis do is going to backfire on them, Muslims around the world are just giving up on Islam. Every time something happens that gets the world news my local Muslim community is visibly strained and people are clearly giving up in subtle ways. They are drinking alcohol and eating bacon/pork, mention how they can't stand having strangers watching over their shoulder all the time to make sure they are not doing anything un-Islamically. They've lost so many people they can't even finish building their new mosque.

Well a number of Islamic scholars here have issued a Fatwa against IS/ISIS/ISIL, whatever, calling them heretical and condemning their actions.

The group with the Fijians is another altogether, Al-Nusra. These are fitting both the above and the Syrian government. Indeed Israeli tourists have been up to the border in numbers to watch the conflict.

I hope it is true that a disillusionment is setting in among Moslems, and in particular some of youngsters who rushed off to fight with the Jihadists. Anything else is unthinkable. At least 500 from the UK and 1,000 from France.
