Well, I thought my understanding of Jesus would translate properly.Shanghaiski said:So....?WPM said:There is a Saint somewhere who practiced Mystical Conception of Jesus in the Heart.
No name of alleged saint and no explanation of whatever the heck "Mystical Conception of Jesus in the Heart" is. The name sounds foreign to Orthodox terminology. Maybe you would like to explain it so that we can know what you want to talk about.
Again, we are hampered by the fact that we cannot get into your head to understand your context. We are left only with a couple cryptic sentences. They appear to be in English, but if you do not provide explanations and context and all that, I'm going to need some kind of Rosetta Stone to understand what you're talking about, I'm afraid.WPM said:Well, I can see why the "Ask Jesus into your heart" is being rejected.
My heart isn't big enough for him, but if you want to talk to him he's in my nous cleansing it. (this is a joke, not a jab at you)WPM said:Well, I can see why the "Ask Jesus into your heart" is being rejected.

WPM, many of your posts seem to be this way, where you say something as though everyone understands what you are talking about, when we really don't. I'm not saying this to be a jerk or judge you. In fact it makes perfect sense to me that some people would relate to others that way. I'm just saying that we need more.![]()
No, that's not what that is.JamesR said:No offense but this sounds like some 1990s Evangelical teenage girl "I <3 Jesus" mumbo jumbo
Here is what comes to mind when I read that in the OP:WPM said:There is a Saint somewhere who practiced Mystical Conception of Jesus in the Heart.
Why do you need a Treatise and Explanation for that?...Asteriktos said:- What is this "Mystical Conception" thing?
A summation would have sufficed--though you've now given us enough bread crumbs that we found the way :angel:WPM said:Why do you need a Treatise and Explanation for that?...Asteriktos said:- What is this "Mystical Conception" thing?
Patriarch Athenagoras I was never of Mt. Athos, AFAIK, something for which many Athonites are grateful, I'm sure.WPM said:Patriarch Athenagoras of Mt. Athos?
That is something that happens after you go through the Mystagogy process of the Holy Spirit ... Its not contingent on whether is accepted by clergy or not.Asteriktos said:You said:

- What saint? Does he want us to tell him the name? Is this thread about finding out who this saint is?
- What is this "Mystical Conception" thing? Is that what this is about? Why didn't he explain it? Am I supposed to know already?
- Is this an Orthodox thing or not? It's not in faith issues, but rather religious topics. What exactly is it all about, eh?

What I was speaking of is related to The Monk and the Jesus Prayer - After a verbal recitation of the Jesus Prayer is translated as "prayer activity" in the Nousia/Heart area.
