I'm under the impression that the SOC in Brazil is too quick on accepting new clergy, which allows for some abuse. Word on the street is that we have two bishops with overlapping jurisdiction because faithful of Syro-Lebanese background disliked the way the Church was taking here.

On the back of the priest robe (actually more of epitrachelion) is an picture of St Verena. I believe she is holding up a bible in the picture. This is not a typical robe. They usually have no icon (just a background of crosses).
