Update:

Neal has 7 more radiation therapies to go and possibly one more chemo.  Tonight, for the first time, his throat and tongue are really hurting him.  He's lost a lot of weight in the last two weeks as well - though that, actually is not a bad thing - just a little fast.

His last (possible) chemo and radiation will be next Tuesday. 

Thank you for your prayers - please continue through this last week.  The doctors are absolutely amazed at his progress.  It looks like the next appointment after next Tuesday will be three months from now instead of six weeks because there is nothing to check to see if it is reducing. 

You're prayers truly made and is making a difference.  Thank you.

Neal had his CT scan on Monday morning - will have his PET scan tomorrow.  He is still losing some weight and is now on CPAP.  We have the doctor appointment on Monday to find out if his cancer is back or not.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Neal saw the doctor last week and his ENT specialist today - he is still clear of cancer!  His diagnosis at this moment is
remission but guarded.  His oncologist explained that they cannot tell if there is microscopic cancer, so they will not call it absolute remission. . .but so far so very very good. 

He is going to see a therapist for his lymph nodes in his neck as they are not draining properly.  He has what looks like a goiter under his chin - which Neal and I both were very nervous about thinking that it might be another tumor. 

On a sad note, his cat, Roadie was put down today.  Neal took him in this morning to see the vet as he has not been eating.  The vet diagnosed him with throat cancer.  Neal mentioned that it was very ironic.
