How is everyone doing these fine days of the summer?  any 4th of july plans?
We sat on the front porch and watched our neighbours blow up hundreds of dollars. Good show. Much better than the 50,000-plus-attended city fireworks display or the rival 50,000-plus-attended megachurch's fireworks display. And no traffic jam.

Front porch sitting

North v. South

North: Cool breeze, can see mountains

South:  Feels like oven, humidity so high it forgets to rain, couple in that blue haze and you can't see three blocks down the street

We sat on porch and witnessed neighbors shooting fireworks rather than the usual firearms...ah, the joys of urban life...

Hello,

WOW! Almost to 100 pages!

I went to see fireworks - and had a big tree in my view.
Imagine how many pages it would have been before they enlarged how many posts there are on a page!

;D

I got to wondering today.  Why will a man call his father his "old man", yet call his wife his "old lady"?
Great question.

Why do some couples who've been married a long time call each other "Dad" and "Mum" even when the children are grown up and out of the house?

the act of imagination is considered wrong these days, as is anything that isn't on soccer mom's list.
!! ???  Oh?  I guess we missed the memo on that.  ;)  ;D
Then again, none of our kids play soccer or do other team sports outside of PE in school.  They're too busy doing things like reading, and learning how to climb trees and playing D&D (as soon as the hobby area gets set up, I'm going to teach them how to paint mini-figures.)

Imagination doesn't run in this house... it more like gallops.  :)

All that pre-wedding planning must have made you loopy.
