We could debate which parody of Star Wars was the best. I say Spaceballs. Thumb Wars was also good, but not nearly as good as Spaceballs, and it's way too short.

We could also throw in Robot Chicken's redo of star wars, as well as  Family Guy. :)

Nope, nope, nope.  There's an internet video out there somewhere.  I think it's called Troopers.  It is simultaneously a parody of both Star Wars and Cops.

Awesome!

Does anybody know in which season and episode of the Simpsons, they do a parody of the battle of Minas Tirith with a castle made of boxes?

I like that parody of Alien toward the end of Spaceballs. Mel Brooks even managed to get John Hurt to reprise his role in the chest burster scene. That was funny. "Oh, no! Not again!"

I just found 300 złotych(about 100 USD) which I have been searching for this last week. St.Anthony came to my aid, although he did not listen to me for some time. Thank st.Anthony!

Quick reaction:

Nutella straight out of the jar - for, or against?

My vote: For.

Nutella = Chocolate, Hazelnut, sugar, skim milk (not necessarily in order of composition; I think the spread is something like 63% sugar).  MMMMMMMM.

One time a giraffe went and lied down.  Someone came and asked, "Hey, who's this lyin' here?" And someone answered, "No sir!  That's not a lion, that's a giraffe."

I think I heard David Tennant's voice in there somewhere. 'Twas about the 0:55 mark.

For last week there has been almost no Church-related newsreports. Almost nothing is happening. So boringly...

A decade and a half ago, I bought a whole bunch of these CD sleeves.  I just ran out of 'em today.  They're made especially for music CDs.  You can see the little slit up top where the "edge" of the jewel case paper goes.  Makes for nice perusing in the box.  And a hundred of these can fit in a box that only accomodates a few dozen jewel boxes.  (In case anyone is wondering, I recycled every one of the jewel cases I discarded; didn't throw away a single one, I don't think.)

Anyway, I'll be darned if I can find these anymore.  Every search turns up hundreds, if not thousands, of links (of course).  But everything I've found is designed for computer CDs, and just doesn't have the assortment of features I'm after.

I'm open to all suggestions, including "You shouldn't spend your time on earthly pursuits", or "You should downsize your collection", or whatever.  Most cool, of course, would be "Oh, I bought a batch of these last week.  Just go to cdsleeves.com"  (Actually, maybe I should try that.  After I post.)

I went online and Best Buy and Radio Shack have them.
You, sir, are a steely-eyed missile man.  (Five bonus points for naming the movie.)  However, I am not, and am unable to duplicate your results.  I even went directly to BestBuy.com, and several searches were fruitless.  Interestingly, their search engine "knew" I was overseas (I know from the banner ad across the top), so perhaps I got different results, even using the same search.  (Yes, I know it makes no sense, but I'm just trying to make sense of this crazy world.)

Call me stupid (but in a PM; you'll get warned for doing it in here), but I'm still striking out.

Ah, wait.  A search of RadioShack.com seems to yield that for which I quest.  I thank you, sir. And my proclamation of steely-eyed missile man still holds.  (As does the offer of bonus points.)

Happy listening to all, and to all a good night!

I'll send the Boston Babes, my 2 little girl beagles to collect the bonus points.  Just have some roast beef and root beer ready for them...these are traditional for beagle celebrations, you know...lol
