Can anyone here ever get any sleep between the Holy Saturday Liturgy and the midnight Pascha services?  I'm either too amped up in anticipation of the grand event or I'm already caught up on my sleep and can only sneak in a short nap. :p
I felt the same exact way!!!!!!!  First time ever actually.  i'm always a good sleeper but this year...i couldn't fall asleep at ALL!  I'm even up 2 hours before Agape services!  my wife thinks i'm a freak...lol.

You know what, I'm really glad that my friends (even non-Orthodox) were sending me smses with wishes but they needn't have done this on 8:30!

I'm always at the proper level of exhaustion to get at least 90 minutes of sleep (about what I got this year), but never more than 2 1/2 hours or so.

She's right.  But yes, I too was up over 2 hours before Agape Vespers, running on 4 hours of sleep.

Two hours is what I figured I'd get on Saturday afternoon, and that's what I got.  Sure helped me stay up through the morning services.  Nothing, though, could have helped me keep my voice through three hours of Paschal services with the shouting and the singing of most everything loudly.  I always try to pace myself through these Paschal services, but I think I've finally had to resign myself to the fact that this is just not feasible unless I just don't sing at all, which runs totally counter to my vocation as a choir singer and cantor.

Funny thing - this has been the year with the most chanting on my part (2 services per day from Lazaros Saturday to Pascha, except Holy Wed and Fri when we had 3 each day, and Holy Saturday/Pascha, which had 3 services/groups spread over 2 days); no second chanter for at least half those services, my singing "first" for most services even when our Sr. Chanter was there... and I didn't lose my voice, which usually happens when I have a high-traffic week.

that can't be it
So now you're the definition of it-ness?  You are the sole arbiter of what is "it" and what is not "it?"

You just don't get it.
And thus begins are journey to understand metaphysics... lol
