Man, we need a section for this. I think you can just do it here, or maybe in Other Topics.

And welcome to the forum.  :)

Thank you!
My best description is would-be Orthodox. I would be Orthodox if I had my own car and enough gas money to attend the nearest parish on a regular basis.

Is anyone at the parish willing/able to drive you to services, at least on occasion? That's how I'm normally, when I dont have my car, my godfather takes me

Don't you have a bike?

Also, welcome! We might look scary but we don't bite. At least, usually we don't.

Well, no, but it would have been nice.

I guess that's the risk if you've books called "The Ladder of Divine Ascent", "The Sayings of the Desert Fathers" and "The Orthodox Church" on your nightstand and you're planning a visit to Athos...

My parents are terrified, they keep saying they want grandchildren.

Any homemade remedies for a migraine?
I got a little homegrown remedy if you know what I mean.

Well, not really. But you're in the Southwest, it can't be too hard to find.

So I am watching a video of the Triumph of Orthodoxy in Russia and suddently, they cut to a scene, showing this lonely catholic cardinal, looking completely lost while trying to figure out whether he should cross himself or not. I felt sorry for him.

Today I ate at Wendy's for the first time in months.  The results were less than desirable.

Garbage food is like that.

Get away from it for a while and it tastes like what it is.

Give a solid week and you'll believe it is tasty again.

Blasphemy. Wendy's is the GREATEST fastfood chain there is. McDonalds is garbage. Wendy's is the best though. Their chicken nuggets and Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers are virtually unmatched. Plus, it's cheap. It's the only fastfood place that can feed my entire family for only $20.

I'm a McDonald's junkie. I know it's garbage and all, but it keeps drawing me back.

Because of Lent, and not having the time to go out, I've actually enjoyed eating little meals from home the past few days. Had a peanut butter sandwich. It was all right. Noodles the other day. Not so bad, either. Kind of a breath of fresh air, food-wise.
