Its so funny to watch the "new guys" frantically write down every word he says.

Ah the poor souls....they don't know any better.

One time I asked him a question in class and his response was "based on what you've heard me say in the class, what would you answer?"  I almost retorted with "well...since you've said basically nothing for the last month, i'm still not sure how to answer the question" but I didn't....maybe next time though... ;)

I always "got" what he said... But then again I was always a fan of abstract theology.

Well, are you familiar with "The Pirates of Penzance"?  Having Feb 29 as a birthday is an important plot point.  I recommend the movie of it with Kevin Kline as the Pirate King, he's a blast to watch and does the physical comedy quite well, I think

I'm sorry if he's offended your sensibilities by not offering a truly random number generator.

Of course, I'm sure that a random-number generator offends your sensibilities, since it is a tool which uses pure and abstract math to actually produce something...

For my 4,000th post, something new:

[quote author="William Shakespeare"]
R&J Act V Scene III:
the Prince is speaking
See, what a scourge is laid upon your hate,
That heaven finds means to kill your joys with love.
And I for winking at your discords too
Have lost a brace of kinsmen: all are punish'd.

Who would be the transfer?  You want to acquire another goal scorer?

For my first season in the German First division I had Lua Lua on loan from Newcastle.

I can't afford the permanent transfer fee.....so I have him on loan again for another season.

I actually have so many forwards I am playing them on the wings in midfield....

You know Longfellow!!  :)

Shall we stick with poetry or can the quotes come from prose too (what with the "Alice" quote)

And your "Hamlet" reminded me of

" I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be"

T.S. Elliot.

OK. Let's try some prose as you suggest. Here's a long one to start with (and one of my favourites):
"Nothing mattered much. Nothing much mattered. And the less it mattered, the less it mattered. It was never important enough. Because worse things had happened. In the country that she came from, poised forever between the terror of war, and the horror of place, worse things kept happening. So Small God laughed, and slapped away cheerfully like a rich boy in shorts. He whistled, kicked stones. The source of his brittle elation was the relative smallness of his misfortune. He climbed into people's eyes and became an exasperating expression."

26 million euros, absurd when he is playing on their reserve team.

As an update I got Newcastle to accept a lower with some clauses added in (percentage of next sale clause), Lua Lua refused all my contract offers......  ::)

"I can't believe it, I'm losing to a rug!"

Aladdin (the first one) by Disney.  Don't try to trick me with your sneaky Disney references...I don't have five kids for nothing!  rofl... :D

How about this:

"I think so...but me and Pippi Longstocking? What would the children look like?"

VERY good, Ozgeorge, I am impressed!!  I saw that episode like 10 or more years ago and just saying it still cracks me up!

I admit you have me stumped on that last one, though it does sound familiar...
