Trisagion, wedding shower gift?
I would, but I think Yesh already called dibs on getting that for you.  :p

Doubt it. Women shouldn't be wearing jewelry.

I would seriously wear that thing just for laughs.

If you did, maybe it would get Yesh to start crossing himself whenever you approached.  It is his path back to Orthodoxy!

The grumpiness factor in my posts today seems to be up about 74%. I wish I had some kind of release valve to get things back to normal when that happens. "You could just not post." Yeah, like that's gonna happen.  8)

So at the beginning of May I was trying to decide whether to buy an air conditioner. 'You'll be fine without one' I told myself. 'You haven't had one for 5 years, why worry now?' I asked myself. 'Heat doesn't even bother you all that much' I thought to myself. 'They're too expensive, especially one big enough to cool your entire apartment' I quite reasonably said to myself.

And it only gets worse from here.

I bought one for the kitchen back in 2010.  12,000 BTU - cools down the kitchen when the oven is on full blast (and still requires a 110 V outlet).

I was pumped when I bought it 4 years ago this month - I picked up the 70 lb box - took it to the checkout counter and took it to my car without using a shopping cart.  Those were the days....

I don't have an AC in the computer room - the fans (ceiling and window) do a good enough job.  The other bedrooms have older room ACs.

I keep reading "Man claims he was denied communion in Orthodox Church because he's gay" as "Mor claims he was denied communion in Orthodox Church because he's gay."

Maybe it's because of all the random threads with "Mor" in them.  :p

It just occurred to me that music videos of Immortal are fairly good visual representations of OC.net.

LOL... I'm in public and couldn't watch with the volume on, but I already know what they sound like, so I just watched as though there were oc.net related captions on there... nice.  8)

Bought this kettlebell four years ago.  I've used it about five times, but now it just sits around collecting dust.  I have to lug it around every now and then.  Basically it wasn't as practical a work out as I thought it would be.

Competitive trivia was a bit rough on Monday.

First, I thought that Microsoft tried to purchase Google in 2002 - turns out to be Yahoo.

Then, I bombed on who won best talk show at the Daytime Emmys even though I quickly read all the winners - the names Katie Couric and Dr. Oz didn't enter my memory bank.

I cost my team 9 pts - we got question 20 correct in that the first war declared by the US Congress was the War of 1812.

Here's a trivia question (resist temptation to look up answer) - name the last country that the US Congress declared war against.

The United States of America.
Nice try, you receive a consolation prize - free admission for two to Ft. McHenry.
I think it would be Italy.  Japan would have been first in the last round of declarations, followed a few days later by Germany.  IDK if the US actually declared was on Bulgaria, Slovakia (or even recognized them), or on Hungary.  I am quite certain that we did not declare war on Finland as part of the agreement where they would not cut off Murmansk.
