Putting your phone in coffee seems a little extreme? ???

That's a better way to use instant coffee than drinking it.

I have three (3) recorded tracks for the next virtual choir thingy. Two tenors and two basses were required and I decided to make sure the two tenors and the higher bass part were taken care of. Still have one for a different piece to go.

After three months, I was able to attend Church again.  It was done cautiously with limited invites, social distancing, and masks, but it was worth it.

I went today as well. Social distance marks on the floor- it was pretty weird. Better than nothing.

I don’t think we’ll have choir until maybe Christmas.

The piece is NOT going well  :(

Some people should be let in to the parish next week. I'm pretty sure I'm last on the list for an invite though.

Finally got a decent take (my voice will never be "good" so decent is the best we can hope for) and submitted it.

My parish put out a 13-minute video on how to go to church when your name comes up on the alphabetical list.

One thing I hate about watching vids of newborn kittens is how they pile on top of each other. They're so weak, I'm always afraid one is going to get trapped on the bottom and smother :'(

 I asked how you pronounce the name of St. Silouan, only to realise that I could probably just google it, and sure enough I found this video of Met. Anthony Bloom on the first page.

Nice!  I'm feeling inattentive tonight, but I'm saving that.

NOOKs from Barnes & Noble still exist, which comes as a surprise to me since I thought I read they were discontinued.

I wish some of the old-timers who still come here would start posting again ;) I'm not gonna name names, but I'm talking to you, people who were anything but shy back in the day, and who haven't posted in 4, 6, sometimes 8 years, and yet when you come across an old thread of theirs and click on their profile, it says they were last active like 3 days ago.

Also... treadmills, ugh. Now that things are opening up again I have to make my yearly decision of whether to re-re-rejoin a gym  8)

Sucks about the farmhouse.

^^ Oh I wish the forum was active liek it had been before.. As not everybody is on Facebook, plus Facebook doesn't offer some basic options for discussions like quotations... and it seems most of the Internet discussiosn have mvoed there.. or have transfomred into photos and likes, eh..

Which is definitely the worst part of it. Forums tend much more to linear debates. Myspace and Orkut had a nice middle-term.

Facebook is really bad platform for any kind of serious discussion. Comment section is built like an instant messenger and it gets confusing really quickly. Even Twitter with it's character limit and all is better.

Doesn't concern me though. I quit Facebook few years back which leveled my quality of life considerably. Social media in general is mostly cancer.

Or perhaps it serves to expose (and amplify) the true cancer?

To say that is to tell God He screwed up.
