Simplest Cherubic

What is the simplest Cherubic Hymn that anyone would recommend for a amateur weekday choir or single chanter who was put on the spot who isn't usually in the choir. Go!

Ha, I also thought about Kastorsky. I've heard it in English, Polish and Church Slavonic - it fits various languages, melody repits (so it's easy) and is nice.

The absolute simplest:  Use the Greek/Byzantine version of the Megalynarion from the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil ("In thee rejoiceth all creation").

My personal favorite:  Adapt the Western hymn tune Picardy generally associated with the Western text "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent".  There is some hymnological evidence that this tune was originally a cherubikon which was later metered for Western hymnody; the main clue are the three Alleluias at the close of the Western hymn.

I also use that melody for the Holy, holy holy... during the Anaphora.

I've heard very simple ones in Antiochian and Ukrainian parishes, but wouldn't know the composer.

However, there are several in the Antiochian Sacred Music Library. #5 by Bortniansky seems simple enough and close to the melody I remember, but not quite.

Ours are always ridiculously elaborate even if the chanter is chanting them alone
