I am planning to upgrade the forum or even go to a different forum software (similar in function, but with better support), so it just didn't make sense to spend time trying to fix this one issue at this time.

I don't access the frontpage, but go directly to the forum when I visit the site.  So I do not see any articles outside of the forum.

What do you want me to do, apologize for having an opinion that differs from yours? What exactly do you want me to do, change the way I think? Do you think it's right to demand that I apologize and change the way I think? I removed the article almost 2 years ago. Why do you demand I apologize for something I believe in?

I keep this site running, even though I don't agree with quite a lot of what is posted here.

Friends, I am just logging in to post here so you know I'm alive and well. Fr. George is quite capably running the site, and Alpha60 is helping us tremendously in our move to the new software (thanks also to Story for the design input). If it seems like it's "dragging on," it's because as we have been rolling this out, we have found issues with this or that platform, this or that provider, etc. We are just not willing to accept "second best" here; given the gravity of the move, we are going to get this right. But rest assured, we are near finishing the migration.

To reiterate, yes, I only use the funds donated for this site. In the past, whenever there were issues, I covered the gap to the tune of several hundred dollars. When I was without children, that was no issue, but I have five wonderful children nowadays, so I do have to make ends meet Sever costs have gone up as well, etc. Yet, to this day, any money donated is only used for the purpose of keeping this site afloat.

We tend to receive donations regularly, and they more or less cover the costs. We have, however, had to expand and upfront some money for the transition and upgrades, so we are a bit behind.

If everyone could donate $5 via paypal, we would basically be covered for 20 years! But of course, we know that won't happen. Could we therefore ask that people donate $10, $15, $20, or in a few cases, $50 or $100 via paypal? Or mail a check? Or if it's just $3, mail cash? If you wish, you will be designated in your profile as a Site Supporter (if you previously donated and did not get this designation, please let Alpha60 know).
