You're missing the point, Andriu. Mabsoota looks like that lady, that lady is pretty, therefore Mabsoota is a pretty lady. Quod erat demonstrandum! :police:

Didn't you make the news one time before, like last year, wearing a Sabres jersey? Or was that someone else?  :)

I remember in the unofficial chat someone linked us to a news site that had pics, and he (you?) were in one of the pics in a Sabres jersey, this was maybe last September or October...

Being very tall is not the best thing in the world either. Besides, I think short looks better on women anyway  ;)

Oh oh....I'm 6'.

That explains a lot!

...although I do love being able to reach things on the top shelf, and change light-bulbs without a ladder.  :D

Yeah, yeah, rub it in...you're lucky I'm such a gentleman, and you're such a lady, or I'd have half a mind to let loose and punch you in the ankles. ;D :p

The magic word you're looking for is " inni' " (isn't it). This can also be used as a full stop, colon, semi-colon, while the word "yeah" takes the place of the comma.

The problem is, Marx was a tool.  He aspired to one of us bogtrottters.  But he failed.  Drink a lot of gin and listen to The Dubliners and you'll understand.  It took me ten minutes to write this.  See?

That's only a south eastern thing (and a pretty modern one - old people usually use 'aint it'). Where I grew up it would have been 'a'n't she? or (or possibly dunt she?) Inni' isn't used at all (the equivalent would be inti' and you certainly can't use that in any place where isn't it isn't appropriate.

Of course, where I grew up you might well hear 'dunt tha?' (don't you) or 'sithee' (see you) as thee and thou are still used in everyday speech. There really is no such thing as an English accent so if (as in the post that sparked this topic) someone asks what would sound most natural to a native Englishman, my reply would have to be to ask, 'from where?'

All in due time. ;)

I'm still on loan in the States until June so I can finishes up my undergrad while I continue to play with the developmental club here (with their scouts watching me like a hawk every two weeks), then I move to Munich full-time, and will start my quest to break into the first team, help 1860 win promotion, and get everyone on OC.net a free jersey! ;D
