And.... I finally got a new one. Nothing amazing, but a heck of an upgrade for me (from an amd dual-core 2.4ghz to an i7 quad-core 3.4 ghz, from 6gb to 16gb ram, etc.)  The graphics card is pretty decent, but I'm gonna try to upgrade to a gtx 960 by the fall/winter.

I don't appreciate the joke you guys pulled. Crusader Kings II sucks. You guys shouldn't lie about it, even if it's meant as an inside joke. Strategy fans like me will take you seriously and give turds like that a shot. I feel so deceived right now, that if my brain wasn't numbed with two bazillion tasks, newses, notes, suggestions, options, statistics, possibilities, and anti-intuitive wtfs from the game, I would be pretty angry.  :p

Seriously? I love that game. I booted it back up a couple of weeks ago much to my wife's chagrin and she hasn't seen much of me since.

P.S. The Petty Kingdom of Cornwall has successfully held against the vikings and is on the way to conquer all of the British Isles.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I made use of a glitch and have just completed the second dungeon (Dodongo's Cavern) without having a sword equipped. (Normally that's your very first weapon in the game.) I like challenging myself.

Yes it is. I found the glitch in a glitch guide on a video game FAQ site.

Nice. I wish I still had a N64, Goldeneye and MarioKart64 were fun games, Both Zelda's were awesome.

Yeah, the only games I have for it are Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I still can't get through Majora's Mask without relying on a guide, even after playing through it three times.

Helldivers with hubby.  I'm not the greatest at it, but it's fun!  Others: Street Fighter V, Stardew Valley.  He's trying to get me into Killer Instinct but I'm feeling too lazy to learn combos.  I watch more games than I play.

Goodgame Empire - the kind of browser game I was looking for.
Before that - Pokemon Shiny Gold.

Bioware forums (mostly) shutting down apparently. Can't say I ever used them much, but I feel bad for the people who do use them, especially consider the nonsensical explanation given for it.

Started playing "Brothers" again this weekend. It was fun. I enjoyed the story. Two young brothers help find medicine for their father.

Basically a combination of the old Pokémon RPG's with roguelike elements (the game is endless with randomly generated levels). It's really, really good.

X Box One finally has a chess game. It's called Pure Chess. Got it this afternoon, love it already. I anticipate whiling away many hours on this game.

Civ 6... so far kinda meh about it, though it's better than Civ 5 at release. Just so much map clutter (spaghetti roads were prettier), navigation/ui issues, changes from previous releases which seem to have no logical reason (esp. with the hotkeys)... and, basically, it just ain't no fun. Not yet, anyway.

There's finally (er, spoiler alert: pun intended?!  ::)) a couple of games I'm interested enough to play on Android.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is awesome! Just like if they had made FF7 like FF6, though with all the online social whatever free-to-play games have, but I don't mind.
Mobius Final Fantasy...so far, meh. They wrote the intro on the Play store almost identical to the intro from the very first Final Fantasy, so it sounded interesting. But, The card battle system is too tough to figure out and Mog and Echo are really annoying. That, and I keep getting defeated by Red Dragons even though I put a bunch of water cards in my deck to use  ::)

Great, now St. Seraphim Rose will have to appear and tell me how the "sorcery" part of these sword & sorcery games is going to lead me straight outta Orthodoxy into the firey gehenna  :-\

Ha :) Still better than Civ V in that Civ VI didn't bore me to near death and make me want to delete it from my hard drive (what I actually did with Civ V a few days after launch; I didn't play it again until a couple years after that). However, I'm not going to be playing 6 again until they patch it, since I kept getting booted from my most recent game near the end, and there's no way I'm going to invest a dozen or more hours into a playthrough not knowing if it will crap out on me when the finish line is in sight.

Downloaded the (free) Skyrim Special Edition, only played about half an hour though. I need to get a mod that turns off the Dawnguard DLC, cause I hate that questline, I was just trudging through it recently in vanilla Skyrim anyway (so I'd doubly hate doing it again), and I don't want those stupid vampire attacks randomly killing off all the towns folk (esp. the merchants). Also got a half dozen games in the Steam Halloween sale that were 50-80% off.

Nothing in the past couple of years - I can't justify dropping thousands on a gaming computer, and I don't care for console gaming as I tend towards FPS and strategy. However, I'm extremely excited about the NES classic; a second-hand NES was my first console back in the 90s and I'm getting hit by nostalgia overload at the moment.

Playing hacked Gold with trade evolutions made into level-up evolutions.

Thyplosion, Fearow, Alakazam, Golem, Politoed, Ampharos - that team could not be any better.
